The site of one of Belgium’s’ major universities, Leuven is a town with a rich history that was badly damaged during both WW1 and WW2. This is not very visible to the untrained eye though, and it managed to exceed my expectations even thought it is known as one of the Flemish ‘art cities’. (photos taken on 2014-10-30 and 2014-11-24)
